2012Petites Frites
Everyone has a story, a wish, a goal…..a dream. Making the jump from the cooperate world to starting your own business can be scary. You are taking a chance……giving up the known for the unknown, giving up stability for something not guaranteed…..you are are risking failure. But even with all there is to lose, there is still “more” to gain…..eventually more free time, flexibility, confidence, happiness, financial stability. And the right to say, “I did it….I am living my dream.” ..
Petites Frites was started by Lisa and Curzon Peier while they were in London, working in the corporate world; Lisa as a luxury goods equity analyst and Curzon as a fund manager. Unimpressed with the cheap imported baby accessories, bland and tasteless designs, and too trendy, they decided to take their knowledge of their backgrounds and start their own baby accessories company, in sunny LA. Drenched in bold hues and accented by whimsical stitching, their bibs, burp cloths, baby blankets and teether blankies will stand out from the crowd. Bucking all trends, Petites Frites created a collection of essentials that are stylish and smart, offering 2 color combinations – The Rainbow Collection is vibrant and the Cornwall Collection is inspired from the English seaside. American made from the design to the production and the packaging.
Lolli’s was a risk, a dream and this is why I am so proud to promote other companies that dared to veer off the known, but undesired path. Companies started by people who through the towel in on a “safe” job and took a chance.
